SIDEKICK QUESTS Commission: The Joe Stroup Troop
This is the latest Sidekick Quests commission requested by GM Joe Stroup. Tonight his troop plays their final session... their last combat of Epic Tier against Tiamat. They've been together in this troop for an awesome 3 years and Joe commissioned this group shot of the level 30 characters to commemorate the end of the campaign.
The characters are (from left to right): Kildrak Stormborn the Dwarven Barbarian played by Gary (Joe's father-in-law), Kydan the Dragonborn Runepriest played by Devan (his sister-in-law's boyfriend), Hermy Blackhand the Half-Elven Paladin of The Raven Queen played by Brittany (Joe's wife), Xune the Drow Rogue played by Hayley (Joe's sister-in-law), Muffi Greasemonkey the Gnomish Artificer played by Noelle (Joe's other sister-in-law) and Bettledex the Human Wizard played by Nancy (Joe's mother-in-law).
Please join me in rooting this roleplaying family on has they end Epic and the life of Tiamat. Good luck Stroup Troop!
Now if you'd like to commission a group portrait of your troop you can do so over at the Sidekick Quests store... http://sidekickquests.com/store/

A Very Special Commission
It has been a long while since I have posted anything on a regular basis here on the ol' Art Blog. I have new duties at work and time I have to devote to outside products has noticeably diminished. That said... I have still been taking, if not posting, Sidekick Quests' commissions. One such request turned out to be very special to me and I would like to take the time and share it with you.
Right before Christmas I was contacted by a woman named Stephanie Crews who wanted a Sidekick Quests sheet commissioned for her husband and their son for her husband's birthday. Both, I was told, were avid gamers and she really loved the idea of giving them custom RPG characters that they could use with the monsters I'd released on line in order to play together.
I also learned that her husband was an old friend of mine and a member of several gaming troops I have run and played with in the past. Her husband, Eric Crews, was someone I hadn't heard from in years. I had moved away, both started families and we simply lost contact. This immediately made this project very special to me.
In further reading through her email I learned that Eric had suffered an accident since I had last seen him that has left him confined to a wheelchair. His wife made sure to request a character for him that spun his disability into a bonus.
Ultimately this has been one of the most fulfilling commissions I have ever been ask to do.
Today is Eric's birthday. Happy Birthday! I hope you like your sheets!

Sidekick Quests Commissions! The McMullan Troop
These commissions were all requested by Michael McMullan. He generously commissioned artwork for all of his friend's characters. He is the kind of geek friend everyone should have. Here is the troop group shot and the individual character standee pieces.
During the past month or so I was privileged to be asked to make several commissions that would be given as gifts for the holidays. Since they were meant to be gifts I couldn't post them until after they had been given. It was one of the main motivators for creating the Advent of Evil actually. Since I was doing work but couldn't post any of it until after December I needed something to fill December up.
I'll post more 'lost' commissions throughout the week (including more commissioned by Michael oddly enough). Until then... enjoy the McMullan Troop!

Advent Day 9!
To end Undead Week I was lucky enough to do my first Monster Sheet commission for Michael Mallen AKA the Id DM. Iddy the Lich is the mascot of Michael's DND toolbox and review website http://theiddm.wordpress.com/ I want to thank him for the opportunity to bring his creation to life.
Michael enjoyed his commission enough he was willing to write a review of the experience. Luckily for me it was a VERY favorable review... and one from someone I really respect in the Gaming Community. It is things like this that really make me love being able to do Sidekick Quests. It was a nice little early Christmas present to me. Thank you Michael. You can read the review here: http://theiddm.wordpress.com/2011/12/09/iddy-approved-sidekick-quests/

Commission: Cyphic Teleri
The latest commission... this one for the father of the last one. That's right, I got to do commissions for a father and his daughter to share. I can't tell you how stoked that makes me. The best part, they were commissioned as a gift by a friend... a guy named Jim Kitchen. I only mention his name because he should be commended. Hats off to Jim.

DND for Dads Commission: Adam and Arrayah
Another DNDforDads commission standee... this one for my fellow CLAW brother Adam Botsford. He wanted a portrait of him and his dog. I inadvertantly went all He-Man and Battlecat with it.

DND for Dads Commission: Quietus Minimus
Here is the first ever DND for Dads commission sheet. I have yet to hear from the commissionee or his son... I hope they both dig it.
Remember you too can commission your own DND for Dads sheets. I am wrapping up the first round of commissions now and will be ready for more soon.

Imperial March Commission 1 Darth Ombat

This is the first of my Imperial March commissions. David Murray asked for "Brobi Wan Kenobi He is a meathead play on Obi Wan." So that is what I did. Once a failed jedi knight with a man crush on General obi Wan Kenobi the self styled Brobi became Darth Ombat when he predictably fell to the dark side. So thanks David. I hope you dig it.
I'll be accepting Sith commissions for the rest of the month.
