Dockyard Derby Dames Poster #1

This is the final version of the Dockyard Derby Dames poster. This is for the first bout and is the first in the series. I'll be developing 3 more, each focusing on one of the three remaining teams.

hellbound homewrecker

This is the central element for the first in what I hope to be a series of posters for the local roller derby... Tacoma's own Dockyard Derby Dames.

My Viralness

This week I was lucky enough to have some of my work spread around the internet so sites like Neatorama, Geekologie, Topless Robot, Gizmodo and even the imdb Valentine's Day Hit List. I received a ton of awesome praise, relinks and traffic.

I just wanted to take a moment and say thanks to everyone that is continuing to stop by.

I also have several new friend requests on Facebook. Since these requests are all from people that like my work but that I don't actually know I decided to spare everyone from seeing status messages about family, epic bowel movements and other daily minutia. Instead I went ahead and created a FB fan page will just be about my artwork instead.

And for the record I think it is kind a weird to even have a fan page for my work and I am taking the increased internet exposure in stride without any undo head swelling (for the most part).

So you can become an official fan my of work on Facebook here: James Stowe's Art Fan Page

I hope you do... having fans is pretty awesome.

DND Sunday February 14th

Had a great session today... that ended with be getting a splitting migraine that killed the game about one hour early in the middle of combat. Bah. Here are the standees made for the party scene that was central to this session's plot.

Another Star Wars Valentine

I've gotten a lot more traffic today thanks to some viral spreading of these Star Wars Valentines. Welcome internets. A new commenter suggested this card. I loved the idea. I don't think I'll do anymore but I am very lucky for the traffic they've created. I am not selling these (I dont want to chance getting 'Super Lucas Sued' and I made them for my son and his kindergarten class. I don't mind people printing them out and using them. I think that is an awesome idea.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.
