DND for Dads 2 The Girls Part 1

Here are three of the six sheets features characters for girls. This is the Paladin, Monk and Bard based ones. Tomorrow I'll post the Necromancer, Rogue and Warlord. Once they are all posted I'll make a compiled high rez PDF available. How and where I am going to do that is still up in the air a bit but I'll figure it out. Maybe I'll add some extras into it too.

  1. Really cool.

I love how you've simplified the rules, getting rid of ranges even.

The minotaur cow monk is my favourite.

  2. Will,

The minotaur cow monk is my favorite too. I love her unabashed perm-fro and her Lego Ninjitsu like grasp of Martial Arts.

  3. I think I'm going to scream. I want to play the paladin and the halfling. Right. Now.

  4. I am really glad I didn't screw these up and that you dig them. I really wanted these sheets to have character through the entire build... from portrait to power names to play theme. Of all of them I think the bully stopping Paladin is the most successful in delivering that concept.

  5. James: I agree-- though the conquest-by-cuteness bard is a close contender.

  6. Just wanted to stop by and tell you how awesome this is. Probably the best-looking character sheets I've seen for D&D!

  7. Great to see some minotaur action but these are all awesome.

  8. I love these!

did you really intend the monk to be able to hit everything on the map? is there a different definition of map that I'm not familiar with? maybe you meant all of them close?

  9. Yeah, I intended it. I did away with range increments. Close Attacks hit someone next to you. Far Attacks hit one person far away and Area Attacks can hit everyone. Simple... clunky maybe, but fun for players.

  10. I love the drawings and the simplified system.

One thing, are the Bard's encounter and daily meant to auto-hit? It seems weird to have an attack roll that does nothing, since the actual powers are Effect:s.

  12. Cy,

Good call about the Bard. Effect could be Special instead right? Special means after hit and Effect denotes regardless of a hit? That is correct right?

  13. Special is usually extra information about the power, like only once per turn, or counts as a melee basic. I think you just want it as part of the Hit: line, so like:
"Hit: No damage because you're nice, but your target cannot attack you or your friends until then end of your next turn."
